Re: and today i have mostly been...

I've no idea, I just wanted to post something to celebrate the, er, holiday, or whatever it is.

Why are we drying clothes in the tumble drier when it's a nice sunny day outside? Because it's Easter. Oh ffs bluddy catholics

Re: and today i have mostly been...

This morning, with t'wife and sis-in-law in Karlovac, er, shopping. Ah yes, I do enjoy following t'wife around looking at clothes  Bank Horrorday weekend so the carpark was full, mostly uninspiring moderns, apart from Oh dear https://i.imgur.com/EJS4Nyw.jpg I guess at least it's still on the r...

Re: 508

Nice to know Pug's build quality is improving. I must admit I didn't look closely at the 407sw they had in the dealer's when they came out, I only got as far as opening the boot   I thought the regen happened quite infrequently but, if I'm reading that right, they actually happen a few ...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Presumably they're a sensible size, more commonly available and therefore cheaper.

Hold on, all year round? Is that normal tyres (aka summer tyres) or all season? I've had them on 2 cars (Ni$$an Navara and YoyoyII) and they were pretty damn crap in the snow.

Re: and today i have mostly been...

A grand! That's more than almost all of the cars I've ever owned (in the UK  ) And I thought I was hard done-by (the average wage in Croatia is about 500 quid a month...) Annie is shut in upstairs, no sign of any little extras just yet. She's quite calm now but it started off with e bi...

Re: 508

They most certainly don't like it, it's what killed the HP pump on my D9 (or it could have been the crap fuel...) My sincere condolences for your loss, you have every right to be a mess for as long as it takes. Apologies for the delay, I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep your feelings private, I kno...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Having succeeded with the plum I've moved onto the apple. It's a pig, the roots all seem to criss-cross all over the place. I'll just have to keep digging away at it... Then tried the same trick with stump No.2 vs garden wall, with predictable results. Ditto, at my mate's gaff I was lodging a...

Re: sluggish starting

To see what the state of charge of the battery is, to see if the alternator is outputting enough voltage to maintain the battery, to see what the voltage drops to when the starter's going. That sort of thing.

Re: sluggish starting

Could be the starter's missing a few turns, or it could be a parasitic load, something's drawing power when it shouldn't (aftermarket rubbish is always a prime suspect) which is flattening the battery and maybe you're not driving it enough to make up for it (other driving styles available). Do you h...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

I guess you're in Trumpland at the moment. I loved America the few times I was there (thinking unnecessary) but I don't suppose I'll ever make it back there now. So, now Teatime (our one-eyed rescue cat of indeterminate age) seems a bit off colour and I've discovered a lump. It could just be a bite ...

Re: Hello 1st time 406 owner

This is between the actual manufacturer's part numbers and the ones Pug uses? A lot of suppliers will list both codes (and the same parts other manufacturers use e.g. Fiat)

Re: newbie to the cars not just the forum warninglights

Probably the switch. Sedre seems to have died on me again but as far as I remember that's all it shows, it's not "your brake fluid's leaked out all over the floor" 'cos you'll get a specific warning for that one. If it helps, the glovebox light switch is the same part.
