Re: 14 Volts with engine running

Yeah, that's what I thought, perhaps 13.5v is the minimum for the LED light so it doesn't flicker or something.

14 Volts with engine running

Our Citroen has popped its high-level LED brake light (the third brake light). I've got voltage at the 2-pin connector plug but when speaking to one of the mechanics next door at work he said 14 volts is "too high" for a car :? obvs I didn't want to get into a debate about it there and then. My unde...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Polybushing is very good for cars with old knackered rubber ones, currently eyeing a full set for my Volvo, the resulting change in feel/dynamics is supposed to be excellent and very 'new car' like. Wiggy - I was just kinda wondering what you'd use an angle grinder for around the home/car? I don't h...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Sounds like a paperwork merry go round, the alternative is a cheeky ride now and then with no insurance? not sure how you'd feel about that. My recent plan to get involved with bikes had me thinking "what if I just bought one a rode it around?" I mean what's the chances of getting stopped on a motor...

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Last time I used the Post Office to Tax the Twingo I didn't need to show them Insurances; I believe though that the 'system' can verify Insurance using the online checker-me-bob (Ask MID) during the transaction.

I would be staggered if you were allowed to have no insurance on a classic vehicle.

Ah so well done to you then! I'm surprised it survived the storage so well since the refurb, the wheels look brilliant, what's been done to the 'silver' parts on the bike? they look nice.

FM transmitter fitted - direct plug in type

Never been in this part of the forum before  but felt compelled to share this little bit of tech with you: Got this little gadget set up yesterday and it works a treat, I've not been able to play CD's for 4 years! and I've finally grown sick of the tacky Radio Stations, I mean adverts, so sani...

As 'upgrades' go I'd say the buyer of the 406 gets the better deal

Please be careful with cheap power tools, if you're lucky they'll just stop working, if you're not they'll injure you.

Can you get Ryobi stuff there? everyone's going crazy for there stuff in the construction industry here.

Re: Photobucket Fix

Someone badgered me into 'fixing' my mega Volvo threadage over on the Volvo Forum where I've got a 42K viewed 'how to' thread that the whole world loves. Anyway it forced me to finally sort out a new image host (thanks to imgur) and I set about replacing all the links with new ones to bring the trea...
