Re: and today i have mostly been...

As a mischievous sort, if my house was in the frame I would try to keep sneaking out there and place random bits of kit/coloured buckets etc in the background (they won't notice) and then when the programme airs I would sit a laugh at my background random sh*t shenanigans

Re: My baby is multiplying.............

My 406 was Diablo Red (if that's what were talking about here) and it was capable of looking extremely drab in some weathers and very sparkly and interesting in others.

I remember looking at it closely and seeing blue flecks in it as part of its pearlescent-type quality.

Re: and today i have mostly been...

It's a nuisance sorting all your tools out, mine are kinda divided into 'car' tools and 'house' tools but it seems like everytime I gain a suitable strong container or tray/box it gets filled up and I end up digging through it or emptying it to find stuff, like that elusive 10mm socket or the electr...

Re: Help, trying to remove head 2.0 hdi

Hat's off to you DDD that is brilliant work! thanks for sharing I'd love to be able to do that sort of thing without making a royal hash of it :frown: Your improved gas flow should mean faster spooling and a crisp throttle response, I hope it made a difference and was worth while, have you fitted a ...

There's a house I see on my travels with 12-ish Toyoyo MR2's on the front so you'll be fine

Is it me or are they presenting different ride heights there?

This photo has a certain beauty about it don't you think? even though on the ground floor all you can see is the floor and your random shyte knocking about; the natural light coming in has made it all look deliberate, almost artistic in quality 8)

Re: and today i have mostly been...

Highlander - that's the parts cost that's higher than usual (BMW innit) that is a bummer but you had no choice and no alternative at the time. The discs and pads can wait as long as the pads aren't already down to the rivets  I did our Twingo's discs and pads following a Youtube guide and alt...

Re: Volvo MOT Pass - 10th year in a row

I still think your 6-speed conversion is the work of a genius! hoe you figured it'd all work out I'll never know [/doff's hat in your direction]. And if anyone wants to know what goes wrong with 2.2's they can read the above and say: Condensers and Clutches  Your next motah has got to be a 508 ...

Re: Volvo MOT Pass - 10th year in a row

10 years, that really is quite an achievement and I'll bet surprisingly good value for money. It's an eye-opener to realise you've managed to enjoy running something a bit special that you really like that winds up saving you dosh as well. I is envious. I think luck came into it, remember...

Re: Volvo MOT Pass - 10th year in a row

I know, sadly that's the truth. The tail lights are normal filament bulbs :o never known them last like this, especially as they're always on with the engine running, 105K miles. I did actually replace the indicators, not because they blew but they weren't 'orangey' enough where the coating stuff pe...

Re: Volvo MOT Pass - 10th year in a row

Yep even with the Ford suspension issues it has still never once flagged a warning light or hesitated or failed to do anything un-car like. The air-con works perfectly, the interior is all still clean and tidy and the bodywork gleams. Funnily enough I was talking to the MOT man and realised that apa...

Re: Christmas

I've already changed the oil on the Shitroen and enjoyed it that much (compared to christmassy type stuff) that I've just received the oil service kit for the Volvo so will do that next, that'll kill a couple of hours :cheesy:
